And those switchbacks on the south side of Dicks Pass, especially up towards the top, will require crampons and ice axe if they're under deep snow. They were blasted out of that rock and it gets pretty steep in there. At least the top is wide and flat with great views. Get back in hte trees to the east of the trail and you'd have a nice camp - albeit dry.
