Clare Porter was in Mammoth on June 5; she should be getting to the Desolations soon.  Keep an eye on her site http://www.pcrexp.com/2008/06/ for more updates (though she posted to the PCT-L too!).  Eric D was somewhere in her vicinity, though he doesn't keep an online journal or post about his journeys.
