Bouncing around some in attempting to pick up the P C T ; north - anywhere - of Echo Lake ( hiked to there in 2004 . ) Had hoped to do a segment before going to Yosemite and High Camps w . family over long Fourth . Aim to be ' back ' after . Hereabouts - So Lake Tahoe - tell me still too much snow even to do Desolation Wild . Senior ( 1930 ' s vintage ) hiker / forward motion occasionally slow ; help / helpers are there - GREAT thanks . Rafter Jack
