Halfmile, thanks for the extra links and NorCal fire updates...
Unfortunately, it looks like northern CA is burning up once again...

It looks like the fires to follow right now are the Cub (responsible for the current closure of the PCT between Hwys. 70 & 36) and maybe the Canyon...
All the others seem to be far enough off the PCT currently to not force any future closures (unless the feds go 'overboard' - as they have been known to do occasionally), but any that are to the West of the PCT will definitely have a health and visibility "smoke" effect on the PCT - so "take care"...

The InciWeb site, <http://www.inciweb.org/>, appears to be coming back up, albeit 'slowly' - the latest update of any California fires is "4 days ago" and it does not show ANY of the recent lightning caused 'complexes' in NorCal as yet...

It looks like it might be another very smoky, low visibility vacation in the Marbles again this year! :-(
Be careful out there!! Smile, wave, and say "thank you" to ANY fire fighters you see - it's going to be a long, 'hot', dangerous season for them... It is VERY early in the '08 fire season to have so many fires..........

(Make the best of it and...) Happy trails!!!
Jim / "PITA"
