i just wanted to say: no worries about the fire issue. i strongly believe in
leave no trace ethics and would never do anything irresponsible on the trail
(or anywhere). i was just curious about the permit because if i were to
happen upon a well-established pit/ring and what not....i might look into
making a fire myself.

but i would never do anything careless or irresponsible or un-leave no
trace- ethical with a fire.

i'm a rookie, but not, you know, a Rookie.
