Ok folks I'm outta here. in 24 hours I'll be on the plane to Tokyo.  
This year sees me try my second long distance hike and I've chosen  
Japan as the subject matter. A few of you who met me while walking  
last year may have heard of this as a vague idea I was tossing about  
but now it's a certainty. Those who are interested can watch along on http://onemanwalking.com 
. I've got a video map going that includes clips from the PCT so head  
over to the map page and scroll the map to the US if you want to see  
where I was saying what it was that I said.


Thanks to all those that gave me advice at this time last year as I  
frantically prepared for heading to San Diego, I'm much better at it  
this time, but not having the bear-canister/fire-permit/ice-axe  
regulations is probably making it one step easier. Thanks also every  
single angel I met, or saw signs of along the way. Some I stayed with,  
some just mysteriously left water/snacks on the trail and they were  
always appreciated.
