[pct-l] PCT N of 74

I just talked to an Idyllwild forest service employee, and he said the PCT north of highway 74 is still closed, and will be closed until approximately next Friday, 5/16/08.  This date is not set in stone, so as GPB says, Be Prepared.  He said agencies are evaluating fire damage, and the effects rain could have on the trail and people's safety.  

Unfortunately, most thrus are long gone.  Hopefully, all will have learned from this incident, and are careful with fire for the remainder of their thru hike.
