Thanks for your replies so far.
I think I'll buy the 3 PCT-Guides, the data book and yogis handbook.
There's no possibility to get these shipped together?
Because I can't find yogis book in the PCTA shop.

The bear cannister loan project is great.
I'll ask for it 2 or 1 month before I start off.
If it doesn't work I would offer mine to share after I don't need it
anymore.
Has anyone ever tried fireworks on bears?

Yeah the weight problem.
(lbs are pound?)
Right now I'm traveling heavy.
My pack is at 5.9 pound.
My tent is even 6 pound.
My sleeping bag lost its insulation and my Trangia cooking set is very
heavy, too.
I like my pack but I'll look for a lighter one.
As for shelter I'll be sewing a 11.48 ft * 9.84 ft tarp out of silnylon.
This is far better I think( and I don't like tents that much)
As sleeping bag I'll buy a sleeping bag about 2.2 pound from roberts.pl.
And for cooking I'll take titanium wood stove(hobo oven), my trangia
alcohol burner and some tinfoil.
Well I think these are the items I'll have to look for.

As shoes I'll take my boots and sandals.

One question about the ice-axe,
do I really need one?
I'll carry sticks and I think they should be enough security when
traveling snow.
Or do I have to climb?

cheers
