Just to clarify, I have some rain gear but not what I would call foul  
weather gear. Just something light enough to be able to set up my tent  
and get out of the rain. But in such deep snow I wouldn't have been  
able to set up my tent so I considered myself not to have sufficient  
rain gear in that situation.
