As someone who used a baseball cap for more then a decase, I tried a floppy
brim hat and it didn't work for me as I didn't like the drooping. However,
I recently was won over by the Tilley's LTM6 Airflo hat. It's broad brim
gives excellent coverage of the head and neck from the sun. You feel cooler
while wearing it under intense sun thanks to its light coloring, top vents
and wide brim. It's dual strap system (chin and back of the head) make sure
it will never blow off your head. It sheds rain well and the brim holds its
shape. It floats in the water. You can machine wash it frequently. It has
a secret pock inside for carrying extra cash/id. They have a lifetime
warranty and have lose protection during the 1st 2 years of ownership.
Also, those who wear Tilleys usually have innate good taste, creative minds
and uncommon intelligence; it says so right on the included tag. :P

Mine, bought last year, in size 7 3/8US weighs in at 3.5oz. Check out their
website at Tilley.com for their whole lineup and then search on the internt
to find a store to buy one (REI and Campmor sells them).
