[pct-l] Laid-Off - long trail ideas?

This late in the season, I'd be wary about committing to the Hayduke,
Arizona Trail, or GET. It's not that this isn't the right season for
hiking these trails. It emphatically IS, especially this season
following a summer of good rains in the Southwest. Rather, the concern
is that each of these trails requires a LOT more research and planning
than would a PCT or AT in order to have a safe and successful journey.
By the time you're up to speed, competent, confident, ready to hike, the
season could well be waning, water sources may be drying up, and winter
may be looming.
