Since the list seems to have drifted off once again in the direction of trying to be silly, maybe folks might appreciate a real accomplishment.  This article is from the Eureka Reporter.  

Six years ago, Rosie Swale-Pope lost her husband to prostate cancer. To raise awareness about this killer ailment and to promote early testing, the next year this 61-year-old British grandmother embarked on a trip to run around the world — all 20,000 miles of it. Five years later, she has now returned to her home in Wales victorious, although she had to cross the finish line on crutches. Along the way she encountered temperature extremes and was chased at one point by a man wielding an axe. No matter. She plowed onward. Of her remarkable trip she said, “It’s a journey that came out of sorrow, but it’s a journey that has turned to joy.”
