>From a 'novelty' perspective the SPOT sure has been a HUGE hit with folks 
following their hikers. Whether it has any value as an emergency aid, I'll 
let others debate that.

One thing is for sure, judging from the journal guestbook entrys, journal 
readers absolutely love it! Folks are transfixed on seeing their hikers 
location on a frequent basis. Postholer.com has over 40 journalists carrying
