I just received a purchased copy of Clinton C. Clarke's "Natural History of the Pacific Crest Trail". To my surprise, glued into the back is a list of the directors and advisors to the Pacific Crest Trail Conference (precursor to the PCTA). Scanning down the names one jumped out! Ansel Adams was one of the earliest drivers and inspirations for the formation of this trail!!  I either don't ever remember knowing this (very likely) or, I hadn't ever heard of this.


Cool, just very cool.
