Hi Spring,

I think you meant to send this to the list, not just me. Anyhow, we buy them locally at either REI. Sports Chalet or A16

Gee, ain't this list great? I ask a simple question about where are canisters available... We'll argue the question about shipping later, but I will tell you that REI, etc stopped shipping canisters last summer because of new regs that say it can't be done. (I've got an email into Gottawalk about his take on shipping.) I like esbit, but find it a bit wimpy with boiling much water. And, as far as safety - I've had alcohol stoves go wrong, because (frankly) they are very light (read unstable) and it is hard to always be totally attentive. Several folks have talked about the JetBoil in glowing terms, and I have trouble with it for a variety of reasons, most of which have been mentioned.

Now for my original question - where can you buy canisters???

thanks, Spring
