Switchback replies: That's what I  like.  Some creativity on the trail.  
This similar to my proposed  "Thru-Ballooning" record attempt on the PCT.  Or 
I might do the "Most  Supported" record attempt on the JMT.  There are lots 
of new records to be  had out there if you just use a little  imagination.
