I think young hikers working their butts off, carrying out packs, for people
who
wanted them carried out, is about as honest a job one could have.
I'm sticking with my original opinion that the NPS is meddling.
The forest service/NPS isn't right, just because they are who they are, and
sometimes, when harmless activities like this take place, they are on the wrong
side of the moral tracks.
I'm sticking to my guns., keep your nose out of others activities, unless they
were causing a problem.
STICK TO THE BIG PICTURE.

I dont think this young fella gets the jist of this story, some one explain it
to him.(he thinks they were stealing packs) :-)

"You can't be serious. I work hard for everything I have. Between bills and
living it took me awhile to save up for all my hiking gear. I am 23 so I am of
a younger generation. If those kids took my gear I would take a baseball bat to
them. They should know right from wrong. That is not a honest way to make
money. Can't even believe that sentence is in this story. I have worked since
15. Even when I got laid off I still found a real honest way to pay my bills
even if I had to sale things of mine. I am glad the forest rangers are there to
protect what I have worked hard to get. Maybe the kids should go steal a car or
rob a bank. Its honest work right hahaha"
