[pct-l] Gear List 34lbs???

Attachments do not pass through the PCT-L list server.   So, we will take
your word for it. 

At 34 pounds and a 14.5 base, you are just fine.   Lighter is always better,
but 14.5 is - while not considered ultra light - a very acceptable base
weight.  As you said, you will rarely actually have the 34 pounds and
drinking and eating will lower that number to below 30 again within hours.

Alright, so I have gotten gear together and looks like with 5 days food, 6
liters water, and gear and pack I will be halling around 34lbs...
Does that seem a bit heavy?  Base weight including pack is around 14.5 lbs?
 I could use a little lighter pack and knock it down a pound.
