I don't know (nor really care) why you and Scott are not likely to be
caught in an intimate situation in a public place any time soon.
As a newcomer to this type of hiking I AM very interested in learning
what I can from as many sources as possible. Would be great if you
could add to that knowledge base.
I wandered a bit around your site and there is some good information.
What I don't see (or am not smart enough to figure out) is the contents
or packing method that let you have the 10 days of food in the can. If
you can help me with this I would really appreciate it.
Promise not to tell Scott and it seems he is not interested in reading
what you write so you don't have to worry about him and maybe other can
benefit from what you have learned.
