[pct-l] electronic journaling options?

any other thoughts on electronic journaling including pics?
On my AT thru I hadn't planned on it but started one on trailjournals.com. I
loved the final product (though kinda limited for uploading pics efficiently
etc).

What I liked least is that it became a time consuming hassle during
townstops. I imagine this would be worse on the PCT as there are less towns.
This is what I'd like to avoid. Don't mind quickly uploading a batch of pics
if it's easy, but I wanna relax and chill in town not spend 2 hours on the
computer.

While on the trail, I typically make notes in margins of trailguides etc on
the fly & each nite, then later put words to these for my electronic journal
(in town). But I find the longer I wait the longer it takes to catch up. And
I forget details I didn't write down.

Pocket mail seems a bit heavy but at least once in town it takes just a few
seconds to upload the email. (You already wrote the journal entries).
Somebody back home or a volunteer journal transcriber can cut and paste it
to any electronic trailjournal or blog.

Any other options? I thought of using a small dictation/voice recording
device which could work but requires practice to get good at dictating blind
and a way to "upload" this in town to somebody's voice mail or whatever so
they can transcribe it.
