Ermmm... From Bear's own web site[1], he claims to have served in the SAS(21 
SAS) - This is a "reserve" regiment often known seen as part of the 
Territorial Army[2]. About the only decoration he is likely to have received 
is the fairy off the top of a christmas tree.

As for being a "war hero" - Highly unlikely he saw any real combat duty during 
1994-7 in North Africa (the years he claims to have served in the SAS).
