What happened to hiking the PCT just because you wanted to ??  When did the
PCT become a hike for you to be rated or graded on by other hikers ??  Why
do some hikers think that there should be rules that must be followed to be
eligible to be considered a real PCT Thru hiker ??  Eligible by who ??
Who's business is it anyway ??  After discussing with the hikers who have
stopped by Skykomish, the reasons why most of them attempted the PCT, they
do it for the personal challenge. They go as far as they can and are not
impressed by the "foot print for foot print" line of thinking. There's a WOW
impression for the speed hikers...but the normal hiker understands that's
definitely not for everyone. Some of the comments I read here seem to try
and make the section hiker not as worthy as the Thru hiker. SHAME ON YOU. Do
your own thing on the trail and leave the others alone !!!
