[pct-l] Oregon/Washington in July

That snowfield north of Jefferson Park is a permanent one.  From the top of Park Ridge, the PCT angles down and to your right, heading about 2 o'clock. Stay out of the rocks straight ahead and to your left; it's all loose and wobbly. Crampons were not needed the year I went though.

I rememeber those skeeters too.; especially bad near that shallow, marshy Coleman Weedpatch and a whole series of shallow ponds. Fill one of your water bladders with blood; you may need to top yourself off before crossing the glacier.
