-According to the  Big Agnes site:

Note: we list several weights for our tents to aid your product
research.
Trail weight refers to poles, fly and tent body.
Packed
weight includes poles, fly, tent body, stakes, guy lines, stuff sacks,
instructions, and packaging.
Fast Fly weight refers to the poles, tent
fly and accessory Fast Fly footprint.

As far as 2 person free standing tents, the Sierra designs Vapor Light 2 has had good reviews. its by no means spacious, but it comes in at around 3.25 lbs which is light for a 2 person double wall.

For a good value, look at the Eureka Zeus 2 Classic, about 33% bigger than the SD Vapor, but only 10 oz heavier..and pretty inexpensive also..

BTW...where ya headed ??

Does anybody know what it means when manufactures state 2 or 3
different weights for their tent? ... for example
trail weight: 4 lbs 0 oz
packed weight: 4 lbs 9 oz
and I've even seen fast weight listed too???
