The latest California Dept. of Water Resources *Weather and Climate
Newsletter* is been posted and it makes interesting reading for those who
want the best projection of the snow season and overall water conditions.

Since water resources are so incredibly important to the state, California
has by far the best tracking and forecasting systems that I’ve ever seen.  I
don’t know of anything in Oregon and Washington that are nearly as thorough.
