Switchback replies: Say, this solves a mystery of the trial.  I have always wondered when I have been out on the trail and it is late at night, I have heard this "WOOHOO!!!!" sound.  I thought it was just some critter or bird.  Now I know what I have been hearing.  This is unbelievable.  I am now going to camp a little farther away from everyone.  Thank you for the info.
