I've carried my pills in a ziplock bag (including prescription with my handwritten directions for dosage) on any number of hikes here and abroad. My luggage, since it's often a backpack, has been searched dozens of times. I have never had a problem. Not saying I couldn't, but as Monty said, "I like living on the edge."
