Is there a policy about privies on the PCT? In many places high use 
campsites get a privy. I know in the Smokies they have few privies but in 
high use camping areas not the back country privies seem to make sense.  If 
we give easy access to the trail than privies might make sense. Packing out 
the tp is not that big a deal really. Especially in dry areas where it 
doesn't disintegrate easily. It's also not hard to walk a full 100 yards 
from a campsite but groups and newbies are not likely to do it nor I think 
are most thruhikers that reliable.

Does anyone have any idea about PCT and privies?
