yep I sure do and I just stuffed my canister with 8 days worth of food and still had 1/3 of the canister available...hhhmmmm maybe I should have a bear canister stuffing clinic...maybe I'm just a good packer...maybe what I eat is different than others...but I know for a fact that I was on the JMT in 06 and had 7 days worth of food and then some with plenty of extra room and left overs....and I don't put the first days food in a bag either...I just set it on top of the inside of the pack or in a pocket somewhere....carry snacks in my pockets....I love food it's everywhere...LOL

Of course! Even us folks who don't/won't carry a canister keep the current
days food near the top of our pack in a separate bag for easy access. I
prefer a plactic shopping bag.

But the question still remains, how do you fit 9 food days into a cansiter
(10 days Kennedy/VVR)?

Patti gets to face this reality first hand in the very near future! ;)
