Hi Steel-Eye,

Another neat little way to capture beautiful PCT desktop backgrounds:
(Note: this is for a PC using Windows Explorer, not Mozilla et al)
1. Open google earth. Verify that "Layers/Geographic Web/Panoramio" has a check mark
2. Find a "photo" that you love, open the photo (aka, go to the web site containing the photo)
3. Expand the photo (your cursor displays a "+" <plus> sign
4. Right mouse click to bring up a short-cut menu, select "save image as"
5. Save Image dialog box appears, give the image a name. Save as a ".bmp" file, not a ".jpeg" file.
5a. typically, you save to "c:\windows" directory since that's where desktop images are saved by default
6. Now you can load the image as a background setting. Do this by going to desktop, right mouse click,
select "properties" and you'll get the "display properties" dialog box. There's some fantastic
     photographers out there!

Notes for improved images:
1. landscape layouts are far superior to portrait layouts when displaying on desktop
2. use the "stretch" position when the "display properties" dialog box is open
3. screen resolution should be at least 1024x768 pixels

Wes
