I really wanted to comment on this great post by Stone Dancer.

Do not fear the trail.......my daughter and I were ahead of Ray and
Stonedancer, we did not know he had fallen until that night when the news
caught up to us.
I was old at that time and even older now, it was a tragic accident and one
that stayed in my mind for a long time. However it did not stop me from
going to Nepal in Oct. 06 to trek on the Annapurna sanctuary. I loved Nepal
and had been there many times. On the evening prior to starting our trek a
few of us decided to take a walk around a lake in Pokera . It was a trail
and out of no where came a small school bus it ,got me from behind and
smashed my entire left side, resulting in my being in a wheelchair today..
I have thought of Ray a lot and what happened to him. Why did he die and not
me? Today I am healthy (except for the legs) am taking advantage of
everything that is offered to me. So do not fear the trail...even the dicey
parts are exciting.
Cheers,
Marge (the really old gal)
