I wear size 16 shoes, and if i don't get them direct from the factory, I
often find good deals in the outlet malls.

Subject: [pct-l] digital scales!

Just had to put a plug in for digital scales here. I went and picked up the
cheepest 5lb digital scale I could find at Staples today for about 30
dollars. Then I went through every little thing in my pack and weighed it
out, definitely some surprises. Well over half a pound of containers and
stuff sacks! And not that it was too much of a surprise, but those damn size
17 shoes, hahaha, almost two and a half pounds of newbalance (but can you
believe it, I got them for 20 bucks at Ross, I went there and they had a
million size huge newbalances, what the hell, I can't even find these at
normal stores?!?!?! Oh yeah, Diane, goto Ross, you might get lucky!). I was
able to get rid of about 2 pounds just of junk that I didn't realize was
weighing me down. It's not even about pinching 10ths of ounces (although you
can if you want to get crazy), it's about actually realizing what you are
carying. It's just smart, it helps you to be smart. Alright,
I'll leave it at that. Good luck with your preparations and get a little
cheepo scale!Lenny
