[pct-l] Hiking from Campo

Lindsey,

My buddy Mike and I are planning on hitting the trail at Campo on the 13th of May. He's never done any long distance hiking before, so he's nervous about doing the 20 miles to Morena on the first day and thus wants to get started as early in the morning as possible.

If you want to push back your start date three days, you're welcome to join us. If not, I'm sure we'll bump into each other somewhere in the next 2700 miles. The trail is long, but very skinny.

Doug

What you get is a great snow pit around which you can sit with the fire right in the middle! To accomplish what you're describing, I'd have to put green logs or something similar around the fire upon which to put the grill and top. Could work, though!

I'm out there for the walk, the views I can capture on film (big, heavy cameras...), the side activities like climbing peaks, swimming, fishing, exploring side trails, climbing trees, and taking pictures of picas and such, cooking big meals to gobble all to myself, and to enjoy the camp life like eating a hot breakfast and dinner in the warmth of my sleeping bag in my tent away from the mosquitoes or sitting around the rare fire enjoying the moment.
