NO, NO, NO,....Switchback,
Don't even think about horses on the PCT....think about wheelchairs instead.
You know, you and I are getting old and soon wheel chairs may be our
only options to thru the PCT.
Wheel chair wheels will sink in the pebbles and get stuck.
The trail should be made to accommodate seniors like us....I mean we
served our country and paid our dues....we deserve it.
The trail should be coated with a rubber coating like you see on college
& high school running tracks or low cut well manicured golf course
putting green turf with lots of pretty flowers all along the
sides.....girls like flowers.
Maybe then the PCT would attract more good looking hiker babes....heaven
knows we have enough homely looking dudes on the trail.
I can't wait to thru the PCT with a motorized wheelchair, equipped with
positive traction, differential slip and snow tires to get me over the
snow covered passes.
Of course it will also be equipped with a small refrigerator (to keep
the beer cold), sun canopy, fold out bed, and a USMC
flag fluttering overhead, and enough room for a hiker babe on each side.
Yes, this will be the way to thru the PCT....I mean we earned it Switchback.
All the grubby looking hiker dudes will be so envious of us.
If they smile as we "Zoooommm" by, we toss them a beer, if they frown,
we spin our wheels and leave them coughing in the dust.
