In looking thru the original Sthekin log book  for many years past i noticed something odd.
We now talk about folks leaving for Canada late april or later. Well in the good old days beore the 90s folks were leaving late March and realy early in april, lots of them around the first. Many of these folks took 6 months to reach Canada. Of course this was in the "good old days before trail Angles" guide book, decent maps and even before Jardine. Someone at the KO can check this out and make a graft out of start and finish dates.... be interesting to see the average time in those days, its well over 120 + days i am sure....
