Taking another look at the numbers, Wrightwood would be another place to
find a lot of the herd by then.

Assuming the bulk of the herd left from the Kickoff, 25 days x 18 miles
per day = 450. That puts you in Agua Dulce. Toss in a few zero days, and
you are in Wrightwood.
