Verizon is working well. My hubby is almost to north fork rangers station
and we have been able to text back and forth almost everyday since Campo. We
try to keep actual calls down to once a week or so to save his battery. It
seems like at least once a day he can find a spot with a strong signal. This
may change as he enters the Sierras. When I hike with him his verizon gets
stronger signals than my ATT phone.
