Hi, Abigail!

I would like to, first, refer you to our "Preparation, Safety, and Snow
Travel" Forum over at Postholer.com. In there you will read an at-length
description of the daily realities of Spring over-snow hiking in the High
Sierra and the need for snowshoes, traction aids, and crampons. If you have
any further questions, feel free to contact us. We teach just this subject
every winter for free.
