I have a picture of the toilet on Whitney from 1978 at http://www.4jeffrey.net/hike/whitney/mr78/index.htm about two-thirds of the way down. IIRC it was the same my first time up in 1972. It was better when the western walls were knocked down, as the view of the Great Western Divide eliminated the need to read a book on the toilet. AsABat
