Hi, Brian!
My wife and I operate an outdoor school called "Mountain Education" which
offers free, 3-day weekend "Snow Course" trips into Desolation Wilderness
along the PCT, here in South Lake Tahoe, Ca.. We used to have a website
offering information and photos about all this, but it is no longer in
existence; we hope to re-design it someday.
In the meantime, our former students, many of whom are on this Forum, would
be happy, I'm sure, to tell you all about their experiences on our trips.
All you have to do is ask the Forum and I'm sure you'll get an enthusiastic
reply.
Over on Postholer.com, we are contributing to an informational forum on
snow-related topics. Go take a look at
http://postholer.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=25 .
If you wish to attend one of the two Courses offered per month starting in
December and running thru May, all we need for now is the month you'd like
and the number of students attending sent to us via email. When we know the
exact dates of the trips, we'll let you know. If you'd like a Course
Description, just let us know.
