I remember him from the AT in 1985.  Don't know anything more about him, though.

Does anyone remember Richard Davis, of Kaneohe, Hawaii?  According to the 
Appalachian Trail Yearbook he hiked th AT in 1985. His trail name was "Old 
Hawaiian Billy Goat".  He had hiked the PCT a year or two earlier.
