These are the best in my opinion as they require no velcro. With other 
lanyard-less gaiters, such as dirty girls, you need to stick velcro to your 
shoes, which is not practical considering the number of shoes you go through 
on a long hike.

For snow travel or other harsh environments, levagaiters have eyelets for a 
lanyard.
