In part spurred by the recent (excellent) discussion about iPhone mapping
options, I've done some minor updates to my "Smartphone Guide", and Scott
has kindly (and quickly) uploaded it on postholer.com, at
http://postholer.com/smartPhone.html

I've added a couple of appendices; one is a (subjective, personal)
comparison of two different topo map options for phones that use the Windows
Mobile platform. The other one is a --- despite complete lack of
experience with it on my part --- brief section laying out some relevant
information about the iPhone. I hope that Bill Burge and others involved
don't mind that I've linked directly to the archives of a couple of their
posts on the topic.

If anyone has any corrections, suggested additions, whatever, I'd be
grateful for your input. For those that are inclined to use a smartphone
on a long distance trip, picking one out and getting it fully "working" can
be somewhat of a challenge, so pooling the knowledge and experience of those
that "have the scars to prove it" seems like a good idea to me.
