For bailing out of the San Jacintos alot of advice is given to use Frobes Saddle but just up the PCT is Trail 3E22 which looks like a better option since you dont have to go down to Hwy 74, you can just do an easy road walk into Idyllwild. Anyone who has used these alternatives care to comment.
