[pct-l] Mountain lions, bees

Howdy:

Here is a picture of a mountain lion  footprint from the PCT taken just south of Burney Falls Park in the PCT Section N in California last September. Mountain lion prints don't have claw marks, like dogs, because mountain lions retract their claws when walking. The pads are also pretty  large, next to dogs.

The bees were probably swarming--the queen and some worker bees left their old hive to go to a new home. Which is heartening, considering the bee mortality these days due to god knows what kinds of chemicals they ingest, thanks to our system of chemically enhanced agriculture.
