The Trail Gods are definitely against the NOBO's this year; especially "the herd". Blame it on our Trail Pirate - he neglected to send them a complimentary ticket to the KO. It's not nice - or smart - to fool around with Mother Nature's little boys. 

Every report seems to suggest that they are favoring SOBO hikers this year. 

Whoever thought you might need an ice axe, crampons, avalanche probes, and crevass rescue gear to walk from Lake Morena to Mt Laguna and Warner Springs? Not going to be too many "shorts and a T-shirt" hikers out there for awhile.............
