[pct-l] Using the Ursack without the aluminum

The Ursack does not fulfill the food storage requirements of any of  
the national parks. Its singular advantage, in my experience, is to  
slow a bear's efforts until it can be frightened away. It must be tied  
to a tree - the Ursack, not the bear. A friend watched as a bear  
carried his week's food supply into the woods.

I awoke one night to the obvious sounds of a bear wrestling with an  
Ursack. Not wanting to mess with the bear, I yelled to awaken my  
friend, who owned it, forgetting my friend was quite hard of hearing.  
But the bear wasn't. It ran away.
