Could you folks give me a rule of thumb for the latest date to arrive at Kennedy Meadows southbound after walking through the high Sierra? October 1st? October 15th? I'm comfortable hiking and routefinding in snow, just not lots of fresh snow. I'm willing to wait out a storm in a town and then get back on the trail after the storm is over.
