I don't read through all the digests, but the topic of Mothballs just caught my eye - Mothballs are some of the most toxic chemicals you could carry with you. I don't doubt they will repel bears, but they are extremely hazardous and toxic to humans. Please be very careful with them if you take them along. (and yes, I do take deodorant) Judy
