Got this reply from the folks in Stehekin about the fires and the condition
of the PCT in the area.

Hello Andrea!
Have been told by our manager uplake that the forest service says there
are no problems at all with the PCT.  All of Stehekin is doing well, and
running at full operation.
Please go the www.stehekin.biz for updates, and contact the North Cascades
National Park visitor center at Stehekin, 360-854-7365 ext 14, for
information on the trails.
